Aviosys 9100a Video Server | Aviosys Kamera 9000 | GadSpot NC1000 IP Camera |
The 9100A 4-Channel Video Server includes a web server that offers access to many (but not all) settings. On a PC, additional settings and features are available using a PC client. The Mac 9100A client allows Mac users to access those additional settings and features. The additional functions implemented by Mac 9100A are: 1. Determining the IP address of the device 2. Setting the TCP/IP port numbers 3. Selecting one of the four input channels 4. Setting the brightness, contrast, saturation, and hue values 5. Displaying hidden values and settings not visible via the web interface 6. Viewing the current image of each of the four channels (round-robin) 7. Saving the current image of each channel for external use Some of the 9100A features are also present in devices that employ the same chip set, such as the Gadspot NC1000 IP Camera. The commands implemented here are based on the programmer's API as detailed in the NC1000.pdf document by Brett Smith and Mike Ubell (available in the Yahoo 9100A group files). I have only tested Mac 9100A using a 9100A on a Mac (OS 10.4.8). Other people have tested using the Kamera 9000. Please let me know how it functions with other hardware.
(As of 1.0.0) 1. The GetCapabilities command always returns the same values, regardless of the actual settings (this is a gremlin in the 9100A). 2. Releasing the mouse early while repositioning the main window can cause the settings window (if visible) to become detached and change size. To restore the proper view, just hide and reshow the settings window. 3. If there are two or more camera devices connected, the Locate function fails.
