Early in 1997 I wrote: "There are a few issues about release 3.0b that I plan to address in a minor revision later this summer." It is now 1999, and I still haven't finished 3.0c. Go figure. If I ever do finish it, version 3.0c will have these changes:
Filer: (200LX only) The FILER.INI logic will be removed so Buddy will operate as it did in version 2.1a. This will restore Buddy's ability to load text files into Memo and prevent autoexec.bat from being executed.
Meanwhile, if Buddy's new behavior is a problem for you in 3.0b, see the FAQ
Macros: If the multiple macro file feature is on, and if you use Fn-\x to load a specific macro file (according to 'x'), Buddy will display the labels for that macro file when you push the Fn key.
&More and Filer: The "ghosting" of serial status information when you are using the IR port will be removed from the Filer title bar and the &More display.
&More: The serial port status will show as "IR" when the IR port is selected and on.
Buddy.EXM: Menu 'x' will Exit (instead of 'e').
Other 3.0b notes
Appt: If F9 or F10 won't work to toggle between Todo and Appt, go to the Buddy EXM "Other Settings" screen and check "Remove slashes through zeros." Or, remove your alternate font loader (e.g., FCL).
